Who is Saint Jude Thaddaeus?
Saint Jude Thaddaeus was one of the Twelve Apostles personally chosen by Jesus Christ. He followed the Lord faithfully, witnessed His ministry, and proclaimed the Gospel after Christ’s Resurrection and Ascension.
Tradition teaches that Saint Jude traveled widely as a missionary, bringing the Good News to distant lands. He endured hardship and persecution for the sake of Christ and ultimately gave his life as a martyr.
His brief New Testament Epistle calls believers to remain faithful, persevere in truth, and trust in the mercy of God. Through the centuries, Catholics have sought his intercession when facing circumstances that seem beyond human help.
